of radiation is caused by the

charged particle (such as an electron)
in the electric field of another
charged particle (such as the ionized
nucleus of an atom). Bremsstrahlung
radiation is commonly emitted from
a cloud of moving charges deflecting
off each other, a phenomenon found
in many astrophysical situations
where hot gas is present.
